Year 11 GCSE Drama Trip to see âGroundhog Dayâ The musical
Posted on: September 13th 2016Last Wednesday the Drama Department took 35 students to The Old Vic theatre in Waterloo to watch a fabulous adaptation of the film ‘Groundhog Day’. Southgate was the only school group present for the matinee performance and were an absolute credit to themselves and the school. We received several complimentary remarks from fellow audience members regarding their wonderful behaviour and their mature attitude was even commented on by staff at Oakwood Station on the return journey. The show in itself was spectacular and has given the students a wonderful basis on which to write their Theatre Reviews. Many thanks to the staff and students involved and to Mr Lavelle for allowing us to take up this amazing opportunity so close to the start of the school year.
