Trip to Houses of Parliament
Posted on: December 9th 2016On Wednesday 20 students visited The Houses of Parliament. Students were welcomed by Lord Leigh who gave them insight into what daily life was like as a Lord and then had a chance to ask him some questions.
This was then followed by a tour around the Houses and finalised by an engaging workshop. This involved students debating against each other, discussing interesting and topical issues, such as whether the voting age should be lowered to 16. Parya felt the experience ‘gave me a true insight as to what Politics is all about; the vibe is exciting and fast paced.’
