Ski Trip 2018
Posted on: March 14th 2018During February half term, 40 students from Year’s 8 to 11 enjoyed 5 days of thrilling skiing in Maine, USA. This year we visited Sunday River, one of Maine's largest and most visited ski resorts.
The week started off with all students being assessed by their instructors. The advanced ski group was quick to head up the mountain, more or less straight away and then spent the whole week exploring the resort. The remaining three groups mastered being able to stop and turn and before long were up the mountain to try the challenging intermediate and advance runs.
Despite a couple of small injuries everyone enjoyed their week in the snow which was complemented by a full après-ski programme which included tubing, a quiz night and bowling.
Thanks to the students for behaving impeccably throughout the trip and also to the staff that gave up their time to support – Thank you Mr Hardman, Ms Lynch and Mr Riggs-Long.
Loon and Waterville, New Hampshire, USA is our destination in 2019! If you’re interest please pick up and return a letter from the PE Office no later than 29th March 2019.
