February 2019 Ski Trip
Posted on: April 9th 2019During February half term, a large group of 60 students from Year’s 8 to 11 enjoyed 5 days of fantastic skiing in Vermont, USA. This year we visited Killington, also known as ‘The Beast in The East’, which is one of the largest resorts on the East coast`.
The week started off with all students being assessed by their instructors. The advanced ski group was quick to head up the mountain as usual, more or less straight away and then spent the whole week exploring the resort. The remaining three groups mastered being able to stop and turn and before long were up the mountain to try the challenging intermediate and advance runs.
After the first day our après-ski programme was in full swing and the students enjoyed evening activities such as tubing, a quiz night, cinema trip and swimming in the hotel pool.
We look forward to welcoming returning skiers and new skiers on next years’ trip to Waterville and Cannon, New Hampshire.
