Year 10 Chickenshed Workshop
Posted on: November 21st 2019The Drama Dept were delighted to welcome back Paul Morrall and the BA Students from Chickenshed to work with our year 10 GCSE Drama students in some after school sessions.
This rich project enables arts students across a wide age range to engage together in drama to devise a new show that will go on tour later next year. Through the workshops young actors are able to give voice to the issues that concern them. The BA students learn from the concerns of our young people and our exam students learn new devising techniques.
Both parties created some new rich Drama material and even more importantly had huge fun working together!. We look forward to the next stage of the project in the spring when we can share how the improvised work is shaping up to a final theatrical experience. Many thanks to Paul and his students for this invaluable partnership.
