Haringey and Enfield Science and Technology Day
Posted on: June 8th 2016Congratulations to: Hazel Nanan, Olivia Szeto, Miles Burke Lewis, Alexandra Charalambous, Alice Walker, Francessca Webb, Sasha Torma, Tim Woodley, Henry Severn-Miltadous, Cleopatra Charalambous, Keshvi Patel and Harry Lownds for competing against and with other schools at the Haringey and Enfield Science and Technology Day on Tuesday 7th.
The day included an enjoyable insight into a higher level of science and technology such as:
- Robotics – They were asked to build and program a robot to navigate a series of obstacles.
- E-FIT – They were asked to use police software to create an image of a ‘criminal’.
- Vehicle – They were asked to design, build and then race a simple electric vehicle.
This year more than 40 Challenge Days will be taking place across the country, with the overall winning team from each event progressing to a Challenge Final at the beginning of next year.
Our students received:
1st prize in the E-Fit challenge and the Robotics challenge.
2nd prize in the Medical challenge.
3rd prize in the Vehicle challenge.
