Canoe Slalom World Cup
Posted on: July 12th 2019On Friday 14th June 2019 PE sports leaders were given the opportunity to attend the Canoe Slalom World Cup at Lee Valley White Water Centre. Sports leaders were chosen as a thank you for their commitment to the Junior Sports Leaders Award this year. All students who participated in the water activity received a British Canoeing ‘Paddle Start Award’.
During the afternoon students were given a guided tour around the world-class facilities at Lea Valley White Water Centre, a talk around water safety and an opportunity to experience the basics to canoeing in a 1hr session on the water. Students’ behaviour and attitude towards the activities over the course of the afternoon was exceptional and many were signposted to opportunities to encourage their natural ability.”
