Enfield Borough Trampoline Festival
Posted on: December 10th 2015On 2nd November 2015 the Southgate Trampoline Squad participated in the Enfield Borough Trampoline festival, held at Edmonton Green Leisure Centre. A team of 20 students participated across 3 different age categories in both novice and advanced sub categories. Prior to the competition students trained tirelessly, giving up their evenings and lunchtimes to perfect routines of extreme difficulty.
Southgate performed exceptionally on the day with a number of standout performances, individually and collectively.
Individual Performances
- In the Junior Novice category Ruby McDermott finished as borough champion.
- In the Junior Advanced category Maja Szymkiewicz finished as borough champion, closely followed by Evan Yiallouros securing a silver medal.
- In the Intermediate Novice category Madalaine Penn finished with a silver medal.
- In the Intermediate Advanced category Leo Yiallouros finished as borough champion.
Team Performances
- Juniors (Year 7/8) finished 2nd overall
- Intermediates (Year 9/10) finished 2nd overall
- Seniors (Year 11) finished 4th
