Year 7 Barnet Museum Project
Posted on: July 20th 2023This half term, Year 7 have been looking at what the Battle of Barnet can tell us about late medieval warfare. The battle, fought nearby in 1471, was a key turning point in the Wars of the Roses. Our students were able to use replica objects kindly lent by Barnet Museum to find out more about how battles were fought, and the strengths and weaknesses of different types of weapon and armour, as well as finding out more about the everyday life of a soldier. 7L1 then went on to create a mini-museum, each group presenting a different object to the class.
