We are excited to announce that Southgate School’s Drama Department has successfully secured a place on The Old Vic Schools Programme.
The programme is designed to encourage the next generation of theatre-makers through providing young people in Year 9–13 with an introduction to a broad range of non-performing roles.
- Students will receive four in-school workshops, each covering a different theatre discipline, such as lighting design, set design, costume design, directing and playwriting.
- Tickets to watch four Old Vic productions throughout the academic year.
- The opportunity to attend a behind-the-scenes day where participants will work with professional theatre-makers.
The workshops and performances will take place after school. Dates each term to be confirmed. This exciting opportunity is open to Year 9 - 13 students. Places are limited. If you are interested, please write in no more than 100 words why you would like to take part in the programme and either email lmellor@southgate.enfield.sch.uk or hand it into the Drama Office S23 no later than Friday 15th Sept 3pm.
